AI Chatbot can respond to all trial participants questions rapidly (using only approved source material to provide responses):

Microsoft is previewing a new chatbot capability allowing partners to add generative AI (AI that can pull and generate novel responses based approved documents) to respond to patient questions. This could provide live & compliant patient support during trials. Submit the source documents and the algorithm to your regulatory teams and IRB and hope to get approval.

Match patients better, and analyse results easier:

An integration of their analytics platform with their industry-specific cloud offering gives healthcare companies the ability to view and combine structured and unstructured data from different sources, like EHRs, labs, claims and medical devices. Customers can also train and run AI models on data using that platform.

Report higher quality results, faster:

Microsoft’s Azure AI can already simplify clinical reports & patient timelines, now a new radiology service is that uses AI to provide quality checks and identify follow-up recommendations and clinical findings within documentation is being developed.

Reduce site burden, consolidate results faster:

Microsoft’s generative AI-based clinical documentation product can automatically draft clinical summaries of conversations with patients conducted in an exam room, or via telehealth, “in seconds”

There is LOTS of data processed in healthcare (clinical trials included), around 50 petabytes per year (that’s 10 billion Taylor Swift songs) and 97% of this is untouched. Because of the huge administrative burden, we’re seeing significant HCP burnout and decreased efficiency. Improving efficiency with AI can increase efficiencies, reduce costs and help people get better.
